OCR: MORCHEEBH'S STONED-COLD GROOVES Although the trio is a little weary of the " trip- hop" title and its connotations, they profess nothing but respect for fellow travelers like Tricky and Portishead. In reality, though, Morcheeba is not so easily categorized. Each member manages to bring his or her own distinctive style to the band, resulting in a highly contagious hybrid equal parts soul, psychedelia and hip-hop (a style that was a "huge part" of Paul's musical education). The result, as displayed on the band's debut, Who Can You Trust, is a style that deftly straddles a startling combination of funky musical genres.
